Heritage & Story
A: The word Mutare is Italian for “to change.” It reflects the core idea behind our pendant system — the freedom to change shades easily and transform your space anytime you want. The Italian name was inspired by my daughter’s study abroad experience in Italy, and our printed bypass parts are made with a proprietary material sourced from Italy, tying the product back to its roots in both design and innovation.
Safety & Installation
A: Yes. Our pendant kits are UL listed and assembled in the USA. The electrical wiring remains untouched when swapping shades, so safety is never compromised.
A: Like any pendant light, initial installation should be done by a qualified electrician. After that, you can change shades anytime on your own.
A: No. Once the fixture is installed, you do not need an electrician. You can change shades yourself safely and easily
— no tools, no rewiring.
